Letters to the Editor - letters must abide by Code Chapter 120-5 Letters to the Editor & the Letters to the Editor Guidelines.

Deadline Extended due to the Holiday

Be Heard! In accordance with Bylaw 8.2 which, in part, reads: "The official publication shall be required to publish any statements signed by at least five (5) members of no more than five hundred (500) words advocating or opposing any proposed amendment."

 

Wednesday, May 27, by 2:00 p.m. Deadline

Board Candidate Nominating Packets Are Due - The completed packet and other required forms are due to the HFCA Office (either by email to johnw@hfca.com or dropped off in person).

Early June

Voter Letters Will Be Sent to All Members* - Please follow the procedure outlined in your letter to register to vote. If you voted last year, you must still register to vote in 2026. Members must register to vote each year. *The rights of members, including members on the Board and its advisory committees, to petition and vote are automatically revoked if the member is in default of any monetary obligation owed to the Association. The member’s rights to petition and vote shall be restored after all defaults have been rectified as determined by the Board.

 

Week of June 4

Digital Hemlock News Will Be Released - The digital copy of Hemlock News is e-blasted and will also be available online at https://www.hemlockfarms.org/hemlock-news-2026. This issue includes the 2026 Election Insert and member statements advocating or opposing proposed amendments.

 

Week of June 10

Printed Hemlock News Will Be Released - The printed copy of Hemlock News hits community newsstands (Administration, Steer Barn Clubhouse, and the Mailroom). This issue includes the 2026 Election Insert and member statements advocating or opposing proposed amendments.

Family BBQ: Meet and Greet the Candidates - This event is a great opportunity for members to meet the candidates in an informal setting.

 

Saturday, June 13, at 3:00 p.m. HYBRID via Zoom and at the Conference Center

Meet the Candidates - Candidates will have the opportunity to give 2-3-minute opening and closing statements, and, in between, community members will have the opportunity to ask the candidates questions.
