Clubs & Groups

No matter the season, there's always something fun and exciting happening at Hemlock Farms. Members enjoy socializing through some engaging Hemlock Farms clubs that cater to a wide range of diverse interests.

Brewster Garden

Brewster Garden is a little parcel of land right outside the Orchard House. Members may rent a row in the garden where they may plant flowers, herbs, and vegetables with this group.  

Happy Hookers

A stich in time …Happy Hookers is a group of those interested in handcrafts.  They meet to learn from each other in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.  The group welcomes accomplished crafters as well as beginners who would like to improve or learn new skills.

Hemlock Farms Writers Group

The Writer’s Group sessions are designed to share a love of writing.  Genres include essays, short stories, poetry, and novels.  Monthly meetings are the 2nd and 4th Monday at 1 p.m. in the Conference Center.

The 50+ Club was formed to develop and maintain a spirit of camaraderie and fellowship among its members.  The Club sponsors many organized activities and social events.

Women’s Club

We are a social and philanthropic organization.  Monies raised are donated back to the community.  Each year we award the Dorisann Mooring Scholarship to college-bound young women in our community.  Our social activities include many interactive, fun events.  All women over the age of 18 are welcome to join!

European Social Club

This club was created for all residents of Hemlock Farms and focuses on celebrating and sharing European heritage.  The club offers various activities and events, from food tasting and cultural lectures to kids’ activities.

Fishing Club of Hemlock Farms

The fish are biting!!  The Fishing Club is open to all Hemlock Farms residents who like to fish and enjoy the camaraderie of other anglers.

Pickleball Club

This club participates in and promotes the sport of Pickleball through group activities, including planning and organizing play sessions and other events.  It arranges for and provides lessons, acquiring and sharing educational materials and providing an opportunity to socialize with others who share an interest in the sport.

Hemlock Farms Beautification Group

Beauty abounds!  This group was established to maintain specific areas during the growing seasons of the year and to create a unified and pleasing look for both members and guests.

AWA Pike County PA

AWA exists to enable women to be their own self-protectors, creating freedom, peace of mind, and confidence in themselves. Our vision is that women have the skills, mindset, and training to defend themselves and those in their care. The meetings offer classroom and range time, all under the guidance of certified women instructors who volunteer their time. Gaming Group

A group of friendly adults that enjoys meeting up for board games, card games, retro video games, and for the occasional tabletop RPGs. Come and play at the Conference Center on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. New members and new games are always welcome. Interfaith Council

The Interfaith Council of Hemlock Farms consists of resident clergy from each of the three organized religious groups serving Hemlock Farms, that includes The Church at Hemlock Farms, The Jewish Fellowship of Hemlock Farms, and St. John Neumann/Good Shepherd Parish. It also includes the Chaplains of Hemlock Farms Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company and retired or active clergy that reside in Hemlock Farms. It conducts programs designed to increase interfaith understanding through activities such as its annual Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and 9-11 Memorial Services.

Project Linus

This group is a local chapter of a national non-profit 501(c)(3) which makes blankets for children and donates those blankets in the community. The group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at Matamoras Boro Hall. Drop off your finished blankets, donations of fabric, fleece, or yam. See the blankets that are donated and help sew a Project Linus label on each blanket before its donated. Meet the volunteers. There is always a way you can help. Men's Club

The Men's Club is a social and philanthropic organization which conducts fund raising and gatherings. Donations from our fundraising events are made to local charities in Pike and Wayne Counties. Some of the other gatherings during the course of the year include weekly billiards, poker, cornhole, a big game party, our summer picnic, and many, many other events. Neighbor 2 Neighbor Club

The Neighbor 2 Neighbor club welcomes all Hemlock Farms members with a sincere interest in the community's future. the club's purpose is to communicate, educate, exchange ideas, and make suggestions relevant to Hemlock Farms. Club Contact: Peter D'Alauro at 570-775-8565.

Cub Scout Pack 007

Cub Scout Pack 007 is part of the BSA-Scouting America and was founded in 2024 to serve the elementary aged youth of Hemlock Farms and the surrounding community. Kinghts of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization founded by Father Michael K. McGivney in 1882 with a mission of charity. The Knights have 1.9 million members worldwide focused on charity, fraternity, and patriotism. Council 12571 St. John Nuemann/Good Shepard supports local organizations and charities through many activities: fundraisers, clothing drives, blood drives, and helping those with special needs. Columbia Italian-American Club

The Columbia Italian-American Club (CIAC) honors and fosters the Italian heritage. The objective of the Club is to learn about Italian culture—to honor it, promote it, and pass it on to future generations. Club contact: Jerry Rosalia at 570-775-9570.

Veterans' Group

Atten-hut! Hemlock Farms Veterans' Group provides a social and service-oriented atmosphere for this unique group of people. Open to all interested, we meet monthly on Tuesday mornings at the Conference Center to discuss topics of interest to our Veterans. Trips to local related sites are envisioned as we get going. Yoga Wellness Group

The Yoga Wellness Group is geared towards providing inspiration and support for those wanting to slow down to prioritize their well-being and broaden their mind/body connection through social, educational, and informational activities.
