Within Hemlock Farms, a myriad of activities, clubs, and resources provide outdoor recreation for residents year-round including:​​

During swimming season, our designed swimming areas at each beach are tested weekly for safety.

If it is unsafe to swim, we will have signs posted. 

Beaches That Allow Swimming & Boating 

The following beaches permit both swimming and boating

  • Elm Beach - 272 Hemlock Farms Road (No boat launch available during operational hours) - Elm Beach is the largest and most popular beach for sunbathing and swimming at Hemlock Farms. Members can also enjoy volleyball or picnics in the shade under a pavilion. 

  • Little Camp Beach - 118 Broadmoor Drive - Little Camp Beach is one of our most beautiful facilities. From Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day Weekend you can enjoy swimming. It's also a great place for families to fish, swim, play games or picnic under a pavilion.

  • Laurel Ridge Beach - Route 739 - Great for boating and swimming. The beach offers a beautiful view of the north end of McConnell Lake and is a great spot to picnic with friends and family.

Beaches That Allow Boating Only

Swimming is not permitted in the following beaches—boating only

  • Basswood Cove - 215 Basswood Drive - Basswood Cove has a beautiful view of the southern end of McConnell Lake and offers great off-shore fishing.

  • Blackbirch - Blackbirch Drive - Black Birch has one of the most accessible boat launches in Hemlock Farms on McConnell Lake and also offers picnic tables near the shore.

  • Hemlock Hills - 122 Fairway Bay - Located on the southern end of Hemlock Lake, Hemlock Hills offers some of the best fishing in our community as well as beautiful views of the Lords Valley Country Club.

  • Lower Lake - Canoebrook Drive - Lower Hemlock is one of the most picturesque spots in Hemlock Farms.  It offers a large walk-out dock providing a prime location for all ages to fish.

Tennis and Pickleball are very popular in Hemlock Farms. Group and individual lessons, tournaments, and clubs dedicated to the sports are just some of the ways to enjoy the courts. Handball courts are also a popular place to meet others who play these sports.
