Cardboard Boat Regatta

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 24, 2024, and join us for Hemlock's First Cardboard Boat Regatta at Elm Beach, starting at 11:00 a.m. We're open to all, with registration and boat inspection beginning at 10:00 a.m. Each team is responsible for bringing cardboard and duct tape to assemble their boat. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams, but the real reward is the fun and camaraderie. All ages are welcome, and each team member must know how to swim. Safety is our top priority, so please ensure that your cardboard watercraft can support all members of your team on the water.

Cardboard Boat Regatta Requirements:

• There is no limit on the number of participants each team has or how many participants can be in the boat.
• Cardboard watercraft must be assembled before the event day.
• Participants must assemble their watercraft only using duct tape and cardboard. No other materials are allowed.
• We encourage teams to be creative and decorate their cardboard watercraft.
• Your cardboard watercraft MUST support all members of your team on the water.

This event is "Swim At Your Own Risk." Each participant must know how to swim, and we'll have dedicated lifeguards in attendance, ensuring your safety at all times.
