The hot tub construction started with the excavation of the surrounding area exposing the plumbing around the perimeter of the tub to determine whether our issue was a plumbing leak or insufficient drainage. The contractor has concluded our issue is actually insufficient drainage. Previously, the water from the jets would pool up around the outside of the hot tub and have nowhere to drain. As a result, the water found its way to the outside wall. The contractor will install different jet heads to ensure minimal loss of water, which have already been tested for best performance. We will also be installing a linear drain around the outside perimeter of the hot tub to keep water off the pool deck. The tub, jets, and surround will be repaired now that the inspection and testing are complete. This is expected to be completed around the holidays.
