The Church at Hemlock Farms
The Church at Hemlock Farms, on Lookout Drive, is an interdenominational Christian Church founded in 1971. It is
federated with the Evangelical Covenant Church and the Reformed Church in America.
Sunday Schedule:
1) Sunday School for children grades 1-6 begins at 10:00 a.m.;
2) Worship services are at 10 a.m. followed by Coffee Hour.
Throughout the morning, Nursery Care is provided for infants and toddlers. For further information,
please call the Church at 570/775-6787, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Special services are
conducted on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve.
Interfaith services are held on Memorial Day observed and Thanksgiving Sunday. Holy Communion is administered the first Sunday of each month. Baptisms and Weddings can be scheduled by calling the Church Office. A Confirmation Class for youth and New
Members Orientation Classes are conducted by the Pastor for youth and adults wishing to become members of
the Church.
The Pastor is available for counseling, hospital and home visits. There is an active weekday Adult
Bible Class, Youth Fellowship Group, 2 Women's Circles and a Men's Club. A Vacation Bible School is conducted
each summer for all children in the community.
A Senior Choir provides music for the Services. Yearly special
events include a Trifles and Treasures Sale on Memorial Day Saturday and Columbus Day Saturday, a Strawberry
Festival in June, a Golf Outing in September, a Harvest Luncheon in November, and an Advent Dinner and
Program in December. A monthly newsletter lists all these services and events.

events.
Jewish Fellowship in Hemlock Farms
The Jewish Fellowship of Hemlock Farms, the only Jewish presence in Pike County, is celebrating its 39th year. It
is the place where members gather to celebrate joyous occasions or offer comfort on sad occasions. The
Fellowship offers various educational, cultural and social events throughout the year. The religious school offers an
innovative curriculum as well as Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparations. The Fellowship participates in and hosts
Community Interfaith Services and programs for Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Yom Hashoa, 9/11 and throughout
the year. The 2010 adult calendar includes lectures, book reviews, film series, concerts, Sisterhood, and Men's
Club events. Friday evening services are followed by an Oneg Shabbat. Saturday morning services includes Torah
study and Kiddush. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate in our House of Worship where Jewish Holidays
