In December of 2009, the Internal Revenue Service approved the application for tax-exempt status for the Hemlock Farms Conservancy (HFC).  The HFC is now qualified to receive tax-free donations under section 501 c (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The HFC was established to maintain the forested, rural environment of Hemlock Farms and to recognize that conservation of natural resources is the only way to protect the quality of life in Hemlock Farms.

In addition, the establishment of this Conservancy will enable Hemlock Farms to qualify for grant funding from State and Federal programs.
